Payroll Specialist
Potbelly Sandwich Works
began in 1977 as a little antique store in Chicago. One day, the owners decided
to bolster business by making toasted sandwiches. This was a stroke of genius.
Soon, people who had no interest in antiques were enjoying sandwiches by the

Lines grew. And the little antique store became a totally unique sandwich joint
and Chicago cult classic.
Since then, Potbelly has expanded to more than 200 stores in multiple states and
is growing by leaps and bounds across the U.S. We’re found in such diverse areas
as college campuses, downtown city blocks, and the ’burbs. Our plan is to
increase our store count by 25% each year. What does that mean to you? With new
