As we come to the close of 2008 I’d like to wish
everyone a blessed and happy holiday season and all the best for 2009. It also marks the closing of my years as
President of the Chicago Chapter. It has been my pleasure to serve as the
Chapter’s President and to work with such a great group of people including
all the board members, chapter members and vendors. Together we have made changes in individual’s professional and
personal lives through our review classes, meetings and donations. During these years the Chapter has
received special recognition from APA, celebrated 25 years as a chapter and
received recognition from various charities.
We’ve made changes over the years such as updating our website, adding
PayPal, working with the other Illinois Chapters on a successful combined
statewide. These accomplishments make
me very proud of the work we’ve done over the years. My hope for the future is that in these
economic times our members will continue to support the Chapter so we can
continue to grow. It really does pay to network and continue with your
education. As my
final quote from ‘Anonymous’ please remember: “When you
do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved,
you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are
working to make things better.” I wish
you all the best in your payroll careers.
If you ever need any help please feel free to contact me at
312-474-3221.
